Sinarmas Agribusiness and Food Strengthens Strategic Partnership with Universitas Riau, Hundreds of Students Enthusiastically Join Campus Hiring

Pekanbaru, November 4, 2025 – Universitas Riau, through its Career and Entrepreneurship Development Academic Support Unit (UPA PKK), successfully held the event “Sinarmas Agribusiness and Food Goes to UNRI” with the theme “Grow with Integrity: Meaningful Careers in the World of Audit and Agribusiness.”
The event took place at the Integrated Classroom, Teater Pakning, Bina Widya Campus, Universitas Riau, with 149 registrants and more than 100 participants consisting of students and alumni.

This event marked a significant milestone as it not only featured a Business Insight Talkshow and Campus Hiring, but also the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PT SMART Tbk and Universitas Riau, attended by Imam B. Friyatna, Vice President of Operational Internal Audit, and Prof. Dr. Sri Indarti, S.E., M.Si, Rector of Universitas Riau, accompanied by Dr. Ir. Sofyan Hussein Siregar, M.Phil, Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems.

The collaboration reflects both parties’ commitment to strengthening synergy between academia and industry, particularly in enhancing career development and improving student competencies at Universitas Riau.

Inspirational speakers from PT SMART Tbk, Imam Friyatna (VP Operational Internal Audit) and Endri Mart (Manager Operational Internal Audit), shared deep insights about integrity in the audit profession, career opportunities in agribusiness, and digital transformation in the plantation sector.

During the talkshow session, both speakers emphasized the importance of professionalism, work ethics, and maintaining integrity as the foundation of sustainable career growth. The Campus Hiring session also provided direct opportunities for Universitas Riau students and alumni to join PT SMART Tbk, one of Indonesia’s leading agribusiness companies.

Participant enthusiasm was evident through their active engagement during discussions, Q&A sessions, and on-the-spot recruitment conducted by the HR team of Sinarmas Agribusiness and Food.

Through this event, UPA PKK Universitas Riau reaffirmed its commitment to building sustainable collaboration with the industry to expand career access and prepare graduates who are competitive both nationally and internationally.
