Riau University Holds Kick Off & Technical Guidance for 2025 Beginner TKM, Hundreds of Participants Enthusiastically Participate

UNIVERSITAS RIAU HOLDS KICK OFF AND TECHNICAL GUIDANCE FOR TENAGA KERJA MANDIRI (TKM) PEMULA 2025

Pekanbaru, October 31, 2025 – Universitas Riau once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the national entrepreneurship development program through the Kick Off and Technical Guidance (Bimtek) event for the Tenaga Kerja Mandiri (TKM) Pemula 2025. The event was conducted virtually via Zoom Meeting and was enthusiastically attended by both mentors and TKM participants from across Indonesia.

The event was officially opened by Iwan Darmawan, S.H., M.E., Director of Work Expansion and Employment Opportunities at the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemnaker RI), alongside Dr. Ir. Sofyan H. Siregar, M.Phil., Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems at Universitas Riau. Both emphasized the importance of synergy between the government, universities, and the community in building a sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem for the younger generation.

Also joining as inspiring speakers were Riki Ariyadi, S.Ak., APK APB of the Ministry of Industry (Aceh Province) and Founder of Agori and Kolega Belajar, and Wan Muhammad Hasyim, S.E., Owner of Idol Mart (with 148 branches) and Chairman of IKA UNRI (Universitas Riau Alumni Association).

During the technical guidance session, the speakers shared strategic insights on strengthening mentor capacity, developing local potential–based businesses, and the importance of digitalization to expand business markets. They also highlighted the significance of collaboration and continuous mentorship to help TKM Pemula participants grow independently and competitively.

The Kick Off and Technical Guidance for TKM Pemula 2025 was attended by mentors and hundreds of selected participants from various regions in Indonesia. The participants’ enthusiasm was evident through their active engagement in discussions and Q&A sessions with the speakers.

Through this event, Universitas Riau reaffirmed its role as a strategic partner of the government in fostering resilient young entrepreneurs who are ready to contribute to strengthening the national economy. With the spirit of #TangguhMendampingi (Resilient in Mentorship), it is hoped that all mentors and participants of TKM Pemula 2025 will continue to collaborate in achieving independence and business sustainability in the future.
